April 19th 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Sustainable Eating - Eating is an essential part of life, but what kind
of impact do our dining habits have on the planet? Marci Cole-Ekberg,
Squire Davidson, and the DVC Culinary department will demonstrate
some amazing tips. Q/A to follow.


April 20th 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Professional Development - Meet professionals who work with
environmental issues every day. Panel Q/A discussion with Madison
Aberer (Republic Services), Vic Vong (Greenlining Institute), Kristen Riker
(511 Contra Costa), and Marci Cole-Ekberg (Diablo Valley College).


April 21st 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Performing Arts and the environment - What do the arts have to
say about the environment? A lot, actually. Prerecorded performances
from DVC’s music, drama, dance, and English departments will make
for a groovy Wednesday! After showing the videos, there will be a Q/A
with some of the artists, exploring the way art intersects the environment.

The DVC Horticulture will do a brief demonstration after the
performing arts groups.


April 22nd 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
EARTH DAY! - Keynote speaker from the Greenlining Institute will be
giving a presentation about environmental justice, followed by a brief
Q/A. The talk will contextualize environmental issues, giving a local
angle while describing clear action items. Afterwards, we’ll be going
into breakout rooms to expand on the discussion led by interested
students and faculty
